This is the first card I made that had quilling.  The lighting isn't great here, but on the center of the card is a white daisy with a yellow center.

Making balloons by quilling with little strips of paper was more difficult than I thought it would be.... but once they were together I was happy with the card.

Re-purposing My "Creative Me" Blog...

Initially I developed this blog "Creative Me" as an assignment for a graduate course focused on creativity in the classroom and it's connection with academically gifted students. I enjoyed learning about how students think creatively during that semester and am continuing my journey in pursuit of a masters degree in elementary education.  As for this blog, it has gone unattended since my last assignment in my course, which is a shame because I maintain a certain amount of creativity outside of the classroom.  At home in my free time (which is rare) I enjoy making home-made cards, creating scrapbook pages, and things of this nature.  In keeping with this blog's theme of being creative, I intend to post about ways in which I have explored creativity in my own way.  My posts will most likely be infrequent due to my current focus on other courses in which I am enrolled.  However, I have enjoyed blogging and look forward to posting about my continuation in creativity.  :-)
